New Life History
Our Heritage
Torrance New Life Church was first known as First Assembly of God Church of Torrance. The church was founded in the Spring of 1937 and met in various locations in Downtown Torrance.
The church found a permanent home at an existing structure @ 3645 Torrance Boulevard. Eventually a permanent church building was built on this site.
In the 1960s, another church building was built on this address and the Lord grew this church where it was planted.
On May 8, 1987, the church celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a homecoming reunion that saw many former members and workers gather for a great day of celebration.
In April of 1989, the church purchased a new property @ its current location, at the corner of Sepulveda Blvd and Cypress Street.
In June of 1995, Rev. Glen Howard Moore became pastor of New Life, and a new chapter was started with growth, healing and a new direction.
