The Acts 2 Journey

In 2016, New Life joined other SoCal Network churches to embark in a full year-long Acts 2 Journey.

During that time, the New Life "A-Team" (aka Acts 2 Journey Team) wrote down an honest evaluation of where New Life was, where they want to go and how the Holy Spirit will lead them there.

The Team developed New Life's Core Values, finalized their Mission, strengthened their Vision Statement, and worked out a two-year plan moving forward.

Executive Director, Acts 2 Journey

Assistant General Superintendent, Assemblies of God

The Acts 2 Journey focused on Chapter 2 of the Book of Acts in the New Testament

(specifically Acts 2:42-47)

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common."

"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those were being saved."

Time of the Pandemic

In 2020 and all throughout the time of the pandemic, New Life like all other churches were locked down and services were done online.

Today there is still a Sunday morning service live online through Facebook Live. Those who cannot make it to the church facilities have the option to attend the live online services.

Regular Sunday In service morning meetings follow shortly.

For the three years of the pandemic, the leadership and admin staff of New Life have constantly prayed and sought guidance from the Lord as far as how the direction of the church should go. Members who had to shelter in place are finally able to come back to the in service meetings and slowly but surely a new church mission and vision is finally taking place.

Through it all, God has always been faithful. To God be all the glory.
